Fay & Latta are a fantastic acoustic duo featuring Anneka Latta on vocals and Tom Fay on acoustic guitar. The pair have been writing songs together for over 4 years, be it for Fay & Latta or one of their many projects, including, Exoterik and Kromosome Six.
In a live environment they perform both their own songs and a diverse range of covers with their unique acoustic twist.
In 2007, whilst recording with the rock/metal band Exoterik in Latvia, the pair were asked to participate in a remix of Hugh Cornwell’s (formerly of The Stranglers) song ‘BlackSmoke’ written especially for the Danger Global Warming Project. Their arrangement of this particular song, which is to be released under the guise of Kromosome Six, has received much praise and adulation within the Danger Global Warming community and is set for inclusion on one of the forthcoming albums released for the project.
The pair have a particular talent at writing emotive and meaningful songs whilst being able to keep the music stripped to a bare minimum for live performances. In a studio setting, Tom and Anneka often call in other musicians to perform and participate on their tracks, in a sense forming a collective of musicians for their many projects.
Fay & Latta have supported The Blockheads at selected gigs during their 2009 UK tour and Beatles, Blues and Blue Violin featuring Mik Kaminski(former member of ELO and ELO Part II) and Phil Bates(former member of ELO Part II) at Huddersfield during 2010.
